Integrative Direct
Primary Care
Integrative Direct Primary Care – A Blend of Conventional and Holistic Medicine. Led by expert medical professionals, we provide comprehensive care that addresses your health at every level.
What is Integrative Direct Primary Care or IDPC?
Integrative
Integrative Medicine combines the most well-researched conventional medicine with the most well-researched, evidence based complementary therapies to achieve the appropriate care for each person, according to the Mayo Clinic. We approach each patient as a whole person, a human being, not as a symptom or a statistic. We care about underlying causes of diseases and look to address or prevent those as much as possible.
Direct
Direct primary care is medical / health care that is arranged between healthcare provider and the patient. We do not accept insurance or government-subsidized healthcare funding, such as Medicare or Medicaid, as our goal is to keep the relationship sacred between clinician and patient. Your healthcare provider will partner with you to decide what is best for your personaized needs.
Primary Care
Primary Care is when a medical professional takes care of people with common medical problems, according to Mayo Clinic. Our PRIMARY CARE will also focus heavily on prevention, longevity, vitality, and wellness. The conditions for which our IDPC will be available include:
- Preventative care (COVID prevention, travel medicine pack access (cost of RX not included), healthy supplementation guidance, nutrition)
- Well child care for newborns and older (we will share our best knowledge and practices for raising healthy kids, we will not offer immunizations)
- Annual exams (children 2 and over, women (including gynecological screening services), men, school physicals, sports participation physicals)
- Acute care (coughs, colds, fevers, minor injuries, urinary tract infections
- Metabolic health (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, weight issues)
- Reducing inflammation (arthritis, headaches, allergies)
- Hormonal conditions (thyroid health, adrenal health, female and male hormone health, fertility)
- Digestive issues
- Sleep issues
- Common skin issues (acne, hair, nails, eczema, and others)
- Telemed visits, texts, phone calls, in-person - all appropriate to need
Please note that issues such as autoimmune diseases (like PANS / PANDAS, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, psoriasis, and others), vector-borne diseases (like Lyme disease, bartonellosis, babesiosis, and others), chronic mycotoxin (mold-related) illnesses, progressive neurologic diseases or other severe toxicities take more time and resources and will continue to be seen by our medical staff at the Roper Building location next door and at our Burnet location. These consultations for more complex care are separate services, but we anticipate that many will benefit from being part of both aspects of our practice. We encourage all who see us for these more complex health issues who live within an appropriate distance to become a part of our IDPC.
We will help you figure out the best plan for your needs once we understand your health goals.

- Specialty Care (when patients are referred to other physicians outside of our practice, their fees and services will not be covered)
- Lab fees (Although we can offer some special lab pricing to our members, lab fees are not included in membership and require payment in full at the time of service when appropriate. We will be able to use insurance coverage for some lab charges, when appropriate, as well, but this is transactional outside of our IDPC program. )
- Between 9 pm and 7 am, communication will be very limited. We hope to give our patients plenty of education to be able to understand what to do in the event of after hours urgent medical matters, but we will not have available coverage overnight for texting / phone call care.
- For a brief time, until our membership is full, we will offer some fee-for-service options for acute care visits, wellness visits, and other primary care consultations. Once our membership is full, these visits will no longer be available.

If your healthcare provider believes that the complexity of your healthcare situation warrants a more detailed, more in-depth evaluation than is part of the IDPC primary care program, she will let you know. Our goal is complete care, keeping healthy people healthy and helping people who are struggling and suffering to optimize health. All of our providers will work as a team to ensure optimal care. Please ask us questions if this is not clear to you as you consider how to plan for your future healthcare needs. Our goal is to communicate well so that our patients have reasonable and realistic expectations as we work together.
FAQS
Find answers to commonly asked questions about integrative medicine and what to expect during a consultation.
Dr. Offutt and her staff treat relationships as partnerships for better health. Our strategies are customized based on the patient’s previous treatments and responses. We use a combination of conventional and alternative therapies including supplements and IV therapies. We will address all aspects of health and work on the most deficient systems first. The path to better health can take significant time and effort on the part of the provider and the patient, but evaluating for the deeper causes of the problem and addressing those can result in lasting outcomes and improved vitality.
To refill your prescriptions please call your pharmacy. They will fax us the refill request. (If your pharmacy needs our fax number, it is 830.693.9194.) Please note that we have not seen you in a year, we will not refill any prescriptions without labs and an updated visit. In those instances, please call our office to schedule a lab appointment and an appointment with one of our providers before requesting refills.
When you schedule your initial visit, an invitation to the patient portal at Power2patient.com will be e-mailed to you.
For best experience when you register, please use a computer (not an iPad or iPhone) and register using Google Chrome. If you are unable to register let us know so we can help. New patient appointments will not be scheduled until paperwork and consent are complete. If you are an existing patient and have not yet been registered on our new system, please call 830.693.9355 and verify that we have a current email address for you. We will promptly send out the invitation to register.
Power2patient is the tool that we use for patient communications, managing patient documents and obtaining consent for treatment.
We offer a variety of therapeutic interventions that may be considered “alternative” to a conventional medical approach. We use nutritional interventions as a foundation and build an individualized program from this core. The additional interventions may include bio-identical hormone therapy, IV nutrition therapy, and medical ozone therapies. An appointment should be made to discuss the appropriate healing strategy for the specific conditions that need to be addressed.
An initial visit with Dr. Amy Offutt is currently priced at $1000 and a follow-up visit is $450. An initial visit with Keri Velez or Megan Biggs is currently priced at $350 and a follow-up visit is $250. Other treatments (including supplements, labs and IV) may be recommended to treat your condition and vary based on the treatment plan. Pricing is subject to change without notice or update.
We use a comprehensive individual approach to every patient, and that especially applies to patients who have chronic Lyme (or other tick-borne) disease(s) or other inflammatory diseases. We design a program that is built from past evaluations and treatments, current symptoms and signs, and personal interests and situational factors. This treatment regimen can include a wide variety of strategies including, but not limited to, nutritional therapies, anti-microbial therapies, detoxification therapies, restorative therapies, and others.
